This month we're featuring the very talented Katerina and her beautiful crochet garments!

When did you start your craft?
I began my crafting journey in 2017, shortly after the birth of my daughter. Seeking a hands-on activity beyond baby care, I gravitated towards crochet, unknowingly using it as a positive outlet during a challenging period.

What do you like best about it?
What I value most about crocheting is the chance to express creativity and turn ideas into tangible creations. The satisfaction and meditative nature of the craft contribute to my overall enjoyment.

Do you have a favorite thing to make?
While singling out a favorite is tough, I find joy in creating garments. Since my teenage years, modifying my mom's clothes to fit my style sparked my interest in fashioning my own apparel.

Why is crafting important to you?
Crafting holds significance as a means of self-expression, stress relief, and continual learning. The act of creating with my hands brings a deep sense of fulfillment.

What are your preferred products to use?
If I had to pick a lifelong fiber, it would be cotton for its affordability, natural qualities, and easy care. However, I enjoy working with a variety of materials, appreciating their unique characteristics.

Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to take up your craft?
For those considering this craft, I recommend starting without overthinking. Practice regularly, embrace experimentation, and don't fear making mistakes. Enjoy the learning process as a rewarding journey.

What's your favorite thing about World of Wool?
My favorite aspect of World of Wool lies in its diverse, high-quality materials. I also appreciate its support for embracing fiber as a form of art, creating a space that celebrates creative expression.
